For four weeks, Coach Pablo and Calvin Paguada (U15 EFAO player) traveled to Zaragoza and Barcelona to participate in different competitions and trainings.
After winning the Football International Cup Barcelona with the Real Club Español Academy, Calvin and Coach Pablo moved to the Spanish city of Zaragoza, where Calvin experienced an intensive Spanish training methodology with top qualified UEFA coaches as part of the GusGol Football + Studies residential program.

Calvin stayed for a week at the Sagrada Familia Casablanca Residence, one of Zaragoza's most important sports centers. His training performance in the field and his excellent behavior got him an offer to stay and play with the 2006 Cadet category (Honor division team) from the city of Zaragoza for the 2022-2023 season.

NEXT STOP: BARCELONA
Back in Barcelona, Coach Pablo and Calvin got an invitation from the TEC Barcelona's sports Director, Mr. Ignasi Carreras, to practice and play with the Sant Gabriel team.
Despite being the youngest player in the Cadets category, Calvin showed all his talent and strength that got him a new offer to play the 2022-23 season with the Sant Gabriel team in the Spanish youth league.

We want to highlight how Calvin's mindset, behavior, and hard work have helped him get closer to his objective of playing in Europe. This experience has helped him become more mature as a player and, most importantly, as a person.
BACK IN OKINAWA
While Calvin and his family decide which offer is the best option for his future, he is already training hard to excel on his next objective: the Donosti Cup.
NEXT STOP: SAN SEBASTIAN - SPAIN
Calvin will play with our U15 team at the Donosti Cup from July 2nd to July 10th.
We look forward to seeing him showing all his potential in an international competition with the EFAO jersey.
We are very proud of you, Calvin!
Keep doing your best!
